On October 16 & 17, 2024, SAPHIRE-CTC hosted the XVR User Group Meeting for French users at SDIS 91. During this gathering, all new updates from XVR were presented in detail to the users. The atmosphere among attendees was very positive, with much satisfaction regarding the improvements showcased.
Future & Presentations
The focus is now on the launch of XVR 10 in 2024. This new version introduces features such as enhanced graphics, wildfires, photo mode, and an expanded furniture collection. One of the most notable updates is the “Wild-Fire” simulation, which garnered significant interest. This feature is available in beta, allowing users a preview of the latest developments.
In addition to an excellent presentation by SDIS 78, SDMIS Lyon, a major user of our program, also provided an engaging presentation. Both shared their experiences with using the program within their organizations, offering a detailed overview of how they implement the software for training. Their presentation gave a clear view of the effectiveness and added value for a large-scale training exercises.
The BSPP (Paris Fire Brigade) wrapped up the presentations from XVR users beautifully. Like SDMIS Lyon, they presented an impressive video reconstructing real incidents within the program. These simulated situations are now used as training material within their organization. The realistic simulations, based on actual events, provided participants with an excellent example of how powerful XVR can be in enhancing training experiences. All in all, the meeting was a great success, with a lot of enthusiasm and appreciation from the audience for the new updates and practical examples from various organizations.
