In Collaboration with Veiligheidsregio Zuid-Limburg, SAPHIRE-CTC has Developed a Unique and Innovative Training Object: Collapsed House Hook arm.

This flexible training object enables fire teams to realistically and safely practice collapse scenarios, aligned with the ‘New Vision on Emergency Response.’ With this design, firefighters can train anywhere without being tied to a single location.

Key Features of the Collapsed House Hook arm

  • Mobile and Transportable
Thanks to the hook-arm container frame, Collapsed House Hook arm object can be easily transported between fire stations or training locations. This allows for flexible training setups, adapted to the needs of the region.
  • Realistic Scenarios
The Collapsed House simulates situations such as a car crashing into a house, involving potential victims, gas leaks, and structural collapse risks. Fire teams can practice stabilizing structures, rescuing victims, and handling dangerous situations safely.
  • Safe and Effective Training
This training object provides a secure learning environment for firefighters to enhance their skills while maintaining realism. The focus is on realistic training of emergencies that may arise in collapse or other structural hazards.
  • Safe and Effective Training
The Collapsed House design is based on previous fixed training objects, but thanks to the mobility and flexibility of the hook-arm container frame, it offers a more sustainable and efficient solution.

he first training sessions with the Collapsed House have received highly positive feedback. Fire teams have noted that the object opens up new possibilities for training a wider range of scenarios, including handling gas leaks, safely evacuating victims, and effectively using rescue tools in complex situations.

“The Collapsed House Hook arm is so easy to move. We can now work in multiple locations to practice, ideal for us!”
