In October, we successfully completed two major projects in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. These include a gas-fired training object and a smoke purification system installed on a new concrete training building. This enables ECAP to offer new, impactful training sessions without affecting the surrounding environment with large quantities of wood smoke.

Gas-Fired Container Course

The gas-fired training object consists of three floors and is one of the 2 High-Tech Objects for the ECAP. This state-of-the-art facility is meticulously designed to provide a comprehensive training experience for firefighters. On the ground floor, there is a fire container that features advanced fire simulations for a roll-over, a bed fire, and a kitchen fire. Operating on propane gas, these simulations are always ready for use, allowing trainees to engage in realistic fire scenarios at a moment’s notice.

The operation of the object is facilitated by a wireless remote control, granting instructors the ability to activate and manage the fire simulations with ease and precision. This technology enhances both the efficiency and safety of training sessions. The layout of the training object includes open spaces, giving clients the flexibility to configure the environment according to their specific training needs. This adaptability allows for a wide range of training scenarios, ensuring that firefighters can practice effectively in conditions that closely mirror real-life emergencies.

In addition to its impressive fire simulation capabilities, SAPHIRE-CTC has equipped all spaces within the training object with a high-quality sound system. This system plays realistic sounds during training sessions, further immersing trainees in authentic firefighting conditions. Each room can be individually filled with artificial smoke via remote control, creating an added layer of complexity to the training exercises.

On the top floor, there is a platform designed for easy access, where training objects can be placed effortlessly using a rolling gate. This thoughtful design feature enhances the functionality of the training facility, allowing for quick setup and adjustments during training scenarios.

Through this innovative gas-fired training object, SAPHIRE-CTC continues to advance the field of fire training, ensuring that firefighters are well-prepared to face the challenges of their critical work. The collaboration with ECAP represents a significant step forward in providing high-tech training solutions that prioritize realism and safety. As one of the 2 High-Tech Objects for the ECAP, this facility underscores our commitment to enhancing firefighter training through cutting-edge technology.

Concrete Building with Afterburner

The new concrete building is wood-fired and equipped with the SAPHIRE-CTC smoke purification system, one of the 2 High-Tech Objects for the ECAP. This innovative building design reflects our commitment to providing cutting-edge training facilities that enhance safety and effectiveness in training environments. All openings in the building are fitted with hoods that capture most smoke gases and direct them to the purification unit, ensuring a cleaner and safer atmosphere for trainees and instructors alike.

With the convenient remote control, the flaps can be easily opened or closed, allowing the hoods to be individually operated based on specific training needs. This flexibility is crucial for simulating a variety of fire scenarios, providing a realistic and comprehensive training experience. The advanced smoke purification system not only ensures compliance with modern European emission standards but also enhances the overall quality of training sessions by minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment.

We are happy with this project: 2 High-Tech Objects for the ECAP. The collaboration with ECAP’s project team was proffesional and we look forward to bring even more exciting projects in the future. This partnership has allowed us to innovate and develop 2 High-Tech Objects for the ECAP that significantly enhance training capabilities. The dedication and expertise of ECAP’s team have been instrumental in achieving our shared goals, enabling us to create impactful training environments that meet modern standards.

As we move forward, we are excited about the potential for future projects that will further push the boundaries of training technology. Together, we aim to develop solutions that not only improve safety but also provide firefighters with realistic and effective training scenarios. Our commitment to excellence and collaboration with ECAP ensures that we are well-equipped to tackle upcoming challenges and deliver even more advanced training solutions. We are enthusiastic about what lies ahead and the opportunities to continue this fruitful partnership.
